We are going to chat about what our clients are up to, and what we are in to. Here are just a couple:

Open University Open Day

We have worked for the Open University for over 6 years. In June we designed a stand for the Library and Learning Resource Centre and the main event leaflet.

Survey Result

Last month we sent a survey to our clients to see what they liked, disliked, and what they wanted from Seventy Three Design and here (drum roll) are the results:

92.9% are happy with the level of creativity they recieve
92.9% are happy with customer service
85.7% read these newsletters (hello!!)
35.7% wanted web design services in the future
20% wanted more veg tips

Well we have taken everything on board, veg tips on their way, and other niggles are being looked at
more importantly we have addressed the web issue and now offer a full range of web design services.

Thank you for taking part, we will do it again in the future.

It's Christmaaaassss!

xmas cards Well, not quite, but the reality is that it will still be upon us in a few months and those Christmas cards don't design and print themselves.

With the economy being as it is, it is a good idea to stand out from the crowd and create something individual to promote your company into 2010. Rather than the usual off the shelf card, why not get one branded with your company message. And if Christmas cards are not your thing, then why not have a desk calendar designed to remind your clients every month of why they should be using your company, and not a competitor.

Give it some thought in July and August, as you really should have these produced by September (if your client base is international), October at the latest for more local distribution.

Talking of trying stuff out…
We had an interesting chat with a chap recently who saw no point in having any sales literature for his company. We know it is not compulsary but were intrigued as to why? Well, he seemed to think that having sales literature would not help his sales team, and it saved him money.

It is easy to think this, but unless you have actually tried it how can you measure how effective it has been? We recommend that you try a new marketing initiative every month, even if it is on a small level, so you can measure if it works for your business or not.

Look at your competitors, do they have a website, brochure, do they network, twitter? If they are doing all this and you are not, guess who gets all the business…

We know this is obvious to all of you, but cost cutting can be counter productive, and in many cases it can actually harm a business. And we want you all to be around for a much, much longer time yet!

Any suggestions for what we grow next year will be welcome, we are thinking asparagus, but it takes years! Send us your suggestions.
